For more than 80 years, Alpha Phi has enjoyed a rich and outstanding tradition at the University of Oklahoma. Beginning with its origins in 1917, members of Phi were recognized as Miss Seminole and RUF/NEK Queen and, in 1932, a Phi collegian was the first female student at OU to earn an athletic letter.
Throughout the years, our membership boasted Sooner Standouts, Panhellenic Presidents, Pi Kappa Alpha Dream Girls, Engineering Queens, Lawyer’s Queens, Delta Sigma Phi Carnation Queens and Sigma Phi Epsilon Girls of the Golden Heart; even a Miss Oklahoma!
Several outstanding Phi Chapter alumnae earned the titles of Greek Woman of the Year, Editor of the Oklahoma Daily, Top Sooner Yearbook Beauty and Big Woman on Campus. As a Chapter, Alpha Phi proudly garnered the coveted awards of Homecoming and Sooner Scandals champions and was recognized as Outstanding Sorority.
Since our successful recolonization in 2006, the Phi Chapter has continued to write pages in Alpha Phi’s amazing history at the University of Oklahoma!
