All of Alpha Phi’s Philanthropic endeavors strive to raise money and awareness about the Alpha Phi Foundation.
Alpha Phi hosts its inaugural Red Dress Gala each fall. Alpha Phis present their new members to parents, friends, and alums while supporting an excellent cause! Averaging more than 600 guests annually, this fundraising effort raised an amazing $20,000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation and secured the number one chapter donation in Alpha Phi’s southern conference for the 2010 year.
This year, the Red Dress Gala will be held on Saturday, October 15th, 2011. For more information including ticket sales, how to contribute and event details, please contact Ms. Emily Munding at
Emily.R.Munding-1@ou.edu.
As for on campus activities, we host our annual Phi Amigos Queso Cook-off! We welcome our fellow students over to the Alpha Phi house for a late night snack.
Along with Philanthropy, Service is a cornerstone of our organization. Through giving back to the Norman community, we better ourselves and the town we call home. Some of the organizations we volunteer with include:
- Habitat for Humanity
- OU’s Big Event
- Big Brothers/Big Sisters
- Arbor Day
- Adopt-An-Area on Campus
- Shack-A-Thon
- Second Chance Animal Shelter
- Food Drives for Food and Shelter for Friends
- Cedar Creek Nursing Center
- Community After School Tutors
